WÜSTHOF GOURMET SERIES – 12 Piece Knife Set with triple riveted synthetic polypropylene handles that resist fading, discoloration, heat and impact. Precisely laser-cut stamped knives offer superb quality and value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great set in terms of a mix of knives that you'll actually use frequently. The shears are a big winner in this house too. We use the steak knives also for cutting smaller items and when my kids help with cooking. I am just so much happier when I cook with good knives. I don't know how my mother in law cooks with the dull junk she has in her drawer! :) I don't know that they are as top top quality as some single Wusthof's I've puchased in the past, but this is a wonderful set. Would make a great gift.. Jml2co. Minneapolis, MN. Mon Feb 03 2020

The Miyabi Black 5000MCD is a true work of art. The blade is constructed of micro-carbide powdered MC66 steel, which is ice-hardened to an impressive 66 HRC. This results in an exceptionally sharp and lasting edge. The blade is wrapped in 132 additional layers of steel, resulting in a beautiful flower damascus pattern. The handle of the Miyabi Black series is made from unique wood, black maple. The grain and color of the black maple contrasts with the damascus of the blade. The handle is crafted in a traditional "D" shape, providing optimal ergonomics for fatigue-free cutting in the kitchen. Handcrafted in Seki, Japan.

WÜSTHOF's extra-sharp blade with a plain edge: this knife not only does a good beef steak justice, but also cuts all other types of meat without tearing the fibers. It should therefore always be on the table when meat is on the menu.

I waited too long to pull the plug on obtaining good knives. I'll have one more to buy, the next size up from this one so I don't have to use the chef knife or this knife for cutting a large apple. They are great to handle, very sharp, and obviously well made. Glad I didn't keep waiting. My other knife was cheap and old and I couldn't sharpen it anymore. Very happy, but also now really paying attention because it is extremely sharp. I cut a lot of raw ginger and sometimes the knife would slip. I don't want that with this one. Makes you pay full attention. Which is good.. Val G.. Thu Oct 09 2025
