That may be solid wood, but it is extremely lightweight and came with several marred board places. I'm not about to send it back as the assembly pro was here ready to put it together. He, by the way, was very professional and did a good job. It will serve the purpose at our beach house, but I certainly would not use it anyplace that was going to get a lot of use.. Bac. This product is great! However, if you can afford to get professional assembly, I recommend it—it took me 9 hours to build by myself lol. Also the customer support staff was great when I needed help. Also also, get an 8 to 12 mattress, 6 inches is too short imo (I added a mattress topper in my pic). Anonymous. Sun Oct 04 2026

Such a design, whether as a sofa bed for daytime rest or a sleeper at night, can be perfectly competent, showing its adaptability to multiple functions and scenes.

Overall we are happy with the unit as it is as we expected. Please be aware that a bed weight limit of 250 lbs is easily surpassed with mattresses and 2 adults. We added some extra supports to reinforce the unit. Not difficult, has to be removed when trundle is in hidden position.. Christopher. Willis, MI. Fri Aug 22 2025

While this bed is perfect solution for our needs, we ended up replacing most of the cheap screws that came with the product. I grabbed one of the support wooden slats when we went to move the bed and it pulled right out. went back & replaced most of the screws with a better & sometimes longer screw. Also used glue in the dowel rod holes. What we liked about this piece was the USB charging station and the shelves in the headboard. It looks very nice.. Debra. Darien, IL. Sat Mar 09 2024

The bronze color is a rich matte finish brown. I am 64 yo and was able to build it by myself. It did take a while (NOT 1.5 hours for me) and as another reviewer said, pushing all those plastic pieces in was rough on the hands ! It does seem very sturdy though. Well built, not flimsy at all. Don't tighten anything at all until everything is together - leave it really loose. Had to go back and loosen at first for more flexibility in connecting. 8" mattresses coming tomorrow - $99 deal each so the whole thing will be less than $500 for my grandchildren when they visit so they no longer have to bring sleeping bags or camp out on the floor ! I'd show you after the bedding is on but I'll prob forget so here it is....for now. Wendy. Ocean, NJ. Thu Oct 15 2026
