This is a solid, well-made bed. I was especially pleased at the quality of the wood. This is not MDF or fiberboard. This is a seven layer plywood with oak veneer. I encountered no problems whatsoever during assembly. The pieces fit perfectly together, and were flush and square. As with any piece of furniture you have to assemble, it is very important to take your time and not be in a hurry. I am very pleasantly surprised with just how good this bed is.. Jeffrey. The materials seemed a little flimsy but once it was all assembled it was very sturdy. The size and storage were exactly what we needed for our space.
