The chairs from my old set are bulky yet all six fit around this table easily. Only negatives, and not worth subtracting stars for, are tedious assembly and the lack of any protective material on the bottom of the legs. Not a deal breaker for me because I have it sitting on a rug. Assembly instructions are straightforward, just tedious. It looks great! Sturdy and sleek. The directions were sketches and clear to understand. All pieces were well marked! It took us several hours to finish putting it together mostly because we don't often construct things. When you get to the part where you attach an inner ring to the outer legs, we used the large box it came in to hold it in place by placing it under the metal pieces- which balanced it and held it in place while you screw in place.. I like that it came folded, but it is not collapsible. There are 24 screws that need to be installed for the table legs and reinforcing bars and these all need to be removed in order to fold the table for stashing away. The table itself is sturdy and the legs are placed well for chair access at both the sides and ends. We like the look of this table on our deck. The 54” added 6” to our previous seating capacity which we wanted without having to change the existing rug. The 4 rating is due to an obvious seam where the top halves meet; something I was wary of prior to buying. It took 45 minutes for my husband and me to put it together.
