I just got my kitchen redone. Let me say that I am not a fan of stainless steel or single bowl sinks. I do not use a dishwasher. My kitchen is small and I didn’t use a dishwasher when I had one. I had first ordered a composite granite sink from a local company that was shipped here. After two sinks came chipped, I had had enough. So I ordered this sink. It’s heavy, it’s old school and deep and I like it so far. So, we’ll see how it works. It came with silicone washers, but it leaked, so the guy that did my kitchen had to use plumbers putty instead, because the sink was leaking. It also comes with sink grids and basket strainers.. Arrived very well packaged and free of cracks. It is really heavy, and it will need a wood frame support built in the cabinet to support it, and probably two or mor people to put it in. But what a beauty! I installed it as a drop-in, having cut out the hole in the countertop. I had to adjust the cutout a few times so it could drop completely. This is the second home I have installed Kohler Riverby sink in because I love it so much! I have had the 30" version of it in my house since 2016 and it still looks like new! Keeping the included rack in the sink keeps it from getting scratched or marked. I needed a smaller sink for a small condominium I own, so I purchased the same sink in this 25" version. Having the drain offset away from the center makes it much easier to place and rinse dishes without spoons or forks dropping straight down into the drain, so I have never had that issue. It is beautiful, sturdy and the best part is how it slightly slopes downward toward the drain, making rinsing and cleaning it much more efficient. Just got this sink, and had it installed yesterday, the sink is absolutely beautiful! It really brightens up our kitchen! The ripples in the porcelain when light reflects on it at nighttime make you feel like you are at a real river!!! So cool! At first I thought that the ripples were a flaw until my husband looked it up online, and read where they put those in the sink to give one the feel of being at a river. A beautiful relaxing sink, that cheers one up while using it sure is better than the dull boring stainless steel sink that we took out to replace it with.
