We needed a small and simple bench for entry hallway. Most are much bigger so this works. Made of solid wood and looks nice, but rather plan. Only complaint is with the assembly technique of screwing in the bottom shelf with angular pre drilled holes, the shelf does not quite have a snug fit. Although this is a very labor-intensive piece to make, the tops are completely handmade using reclaimed wood from antique doors. The legs are hand-distressed in antiqued colors. So happy with this! For the same price, I could have gotten a painted bench that was a foot shorter, held only 200 lbs. and had bad reviews. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. The wood grain is so beautiful that a clear coat instead of paint would be perfect. It is very sturdy hard wood, was easy to put together and holds 400 lbs!
