I am very happy with this hood. The quality of build seems solid, installation instructions were very clear, and it I think it looks great. It takes some planning and work to get it installed. You have to make sure your ceiling joists and ductwork is going the right direction or be prepared to do some modifications. I have a soffit and had to take down a bunch of drywall to modify the framing, run the 14/3 romex for the light/fan and modify the ducting. Then I replaced the drywall, taped, texture, paint and installed the hood. Fortunately it all came together nicely. I was able to held the hood in place while my wife drive the screws into the framing. I think it will be worth it in the end because the hood won’t be blocking the view in front of our cooktop.. This is a beautiful, sleek looking range hood. It has great features and is very well made. The convertible option is huge for those of us who don't currently have a vented hood. It is heavy but installation looks like it will be straight forward. My installation is delayed since I have to remove cabinets over the stove, find the backsplash tiles that current end at the bottom of the cabinet and continue it up before installing the hood. Hood fan review Installation was easy but you need small hands to screw in the hood around the fan. The noise of the fan is not as quiet as I thought it was going to be but it will be fine. Well this is a great product but putting it together was a lot! The instructions were hidden along with the screws necessary for installation. I would NOT purchase this item. It had no company information or identifying information on the product or box. There was no manual for installing or using the product in the box. Wayfair now has a link to a manual, but when clicked on it says, "File not found". When I reached out to Wayfair, the manual they sent did not match the hood fan, which took more than 48 hours, which is the window of most items to be returned. As I hired a professional to install the item, they could not review the item and manual together. I tried to find out information from Terisitar, but could not find any corporate information, so it is not clear who manufactures this item. Furthermore, when the item was delivered the box was so battered, despite having “FRAGILE” written very boldly.
