I love this bench. It cames unfinished and it's very dry. I used teak oil to protect the wood. The photo shows it after I rubbed it with the teak oil. There are a few things I want you to know. 1. The center legs are somewhat shorter than the outer legs. 2. It's delicate and somewhat fragile. I have a small crack in one piece. 3. This is 78 inches, really large and beautiful. Assembly wasnt as easy as i was hoping for and i had to stop building it since screw holes didnt quite aline ( other reviewers have mentioned it before) My husband had to take the drill out to make a new screwhole and it luckely remediated the situation. The main structure of this bench is made of solid wood and iron. The bottom is added with H-shaped support shelves to increase stability. We like the craft flowers on the backrest and the solid wood legs in the style of Roman columns. This makes this bench both practical and decorative.
