Wayfair was excellent about seeing the damage to the order and sending a new one. Unfortunately it took the fourth time to get one that wasn’t damaged. The design is beautiful. The bamboo comes in a perfect height for the dimension of the box. The only two things I would be critical to not give it a five star is the odor of the lacquer they put on the bamboo is very strong smell and as of now, I still can’t get the smell out of it and the quality of the container it’s a black square box is not very high-quality, but visually not looking too close to the box close up it really is attractive I also like the idea that if I don’t want to place the bamboo in the box, it looks good without or with it.. Bamboo Trees and Bamboo Plants capture the eyes and imaginations of artistes who frequently depict the foliage in paintings. This faux Bamboo Plant honors the beauty of the bamboo but in more than a single dimension. The four-foot-tall bamboo is a full three-dimensional artfully crafted and exquisitely produced plant that pays strict homage to its natural namesake. The green leaves generously spread from the bamboo trunks which rise from the black square metal planter. The container’s fluted upper ridges and the ground cover add even more to the visual delight in your home or office.

Black bamboo has culms that are green when they first emerge from the ground, and within months they acquire the natural black color with dark-brown patches that give this bamboo a beautiful, rich, appearance. The culms of this bamboo are used extensively in Japanese woodworking and are excellent for indoor and outdoor decoration. Our Timor black timber bamboo poles come in an average of 2-3 inches in diameter. They are made up of a thick wall of heavy bamboo and are crack-resistant. Color and actual diameter will vary due to the natural material. We cannot guarantee a specific diameter of each pole, only that they will be between the diameter of 2-3 inches. Bamboo poles may also have different diameters at either end, this is due to the way bamboo grows.

These gorgeous Olivewood Giraffes are carved by hand by master carvers in Zimbabwe, with whom we have been working with for over 20 years. Giraffes are known throughout Africa for their natural curiosity. Twiza is the name for giraffe in the language of the Shona people of Zimbabwe. An old African folktale tells of God speaking to his newly created animals as to their purpose on earth. As God spoke to Twiza, she stretched her neck to heaven to hear more clearly. God was pleased and gave her a long, elegant neck so she could reach the leaves of the tallest trees - and as a sign to others that extra effort is rewarded.

So happy with my purchase! The giraffe was shipped with care. The giraffe made with Olive wood looks beautiful in person.. Diana. Tue Jan 20 2026
