Named after a small village in northern Peru, Chulucanas ceramics are the product of warm climate and Peruvian clay. Unlike traditional glaze firing, a method of pigmented clay and a stone buffing technique is used to achieve the rich color and smooth texture.

Craftsmanship Hand-blown with layered color embedding technique. Artisans shape molten glass at approximately 1300℃–1400℃, gradually infusing warm beige and turquoise into the glass. Using hand-stirring and stretching techniques, they create naturally flowing swirl patterns and leaf-shaped color blocks. Finally, the piece undergoes annealing (slow cooling at 500℃–600℃) to eliminate internal stress, ensuring durability while preserving the vivid color contrast and translucent texture.

I love this vase, it is so beautiful! The teal goes with the brown so nicely it’s easy to tie colors into it! Tall so definitely need taller faux (or real) flowers. It feels like nice thick glass and has a good amount of weight to it so it wont tip over easily. Always worry about having glads items shipped but it was packaged really well and came undamaged!.
