I have had this mirror for about 4 years now and it has remained beautiful. The black finish is high quality and smooth. I use it as the door to a medicine cabinet that is sunk into the wall and it works very well (we attached it ourselves - and lined the back with a fun contact paper for a better look when open). This mirror is quite beautiful. The hanging and backing is not the greatest. The mirror backing is made from mdf and the weight of the mirror broke through the backing screws. This mirror is absolutely beautiful. I bought and returned a couple of mirrors before this one because they never looked as good in person as they did in the photos. This one is elegant, well made, and looks far more expensive than it is. What really sets it apart is the frame.
