I was looking for a rug just inside my office deck door that would be comfortable under bare feet, dog friendly, and stay fairly low profile. This one ended up being exactly what I was hoping for. The color is a soft blend of grays that works well with my flooring and doesn't compete with the rest of the room. I especially like that the pattern is subtle and doesn't draw attention to itself. The rug feels soft underfoot, which was important since I frequently walk through this doorway barefoot. It is thin enough for a doorway but still feels comfortable. I did pair it with a non-slip rug pad to help keep it in place on my hardwood floor. This rug is great for taking the cold chill off a tile floor. It is well made. We have furniture setting on two corners so the rug would not move. I would suggest a non-skid pad on a hard surface just to prevent sliding if there is no furniture on it. The edges are sewn well so the rug lays very flat on the edges. We were concerned about a rug being a tripping hazard but this rug does not because it lays very flat.
