This thing is HUGE! I needed a larger, roomier cage for my two macaws, and their old cage was falling apart. This cage will be wonderful for them. This cage was 'as expected', seems pretty sturdy and was pretty straight forward and easy to put together. Took a little time, I did it by myself, but all the screws and brackets seem solid. using it for a rooster that we need to keep away from the other roosters, so it fulfills our need--with one major flaw. Now, I knew this going in and we remedied it on our own with zip ties and chicken wire, but be aware that the only roof is the vinyl/tent top and that tent top will not keep out a raccoon or other eager predator in any way. We have a tiny 2 x2 coop inside this run that we can lock at night, but do add some kind of chicken wire under the canopy if you plan to rely on it for safety, which can easily be done before you put the canopy on. I wish it came with a secure roof, but from what I am seeing, none of these come with a solid roof, so this will have to do, and it seems to be working out for us.. Daniel. Bloomington, IN. Pieces are all labeled with part number. We laid out all parts in order first, makes it easy to find when assembling. Be careful with screws and bolts, there are not extras of all parts. Use a star bit on drill rather than the cheap wrench they give you. Also need a Phillips screwdriver for small screws on latches. .Metal is sturdy. Directions are quite clear, make sure you follow the order! It is all drawings and is a little confusing sometimes. Took us a good 4 hours to assemble and we are both very versed in construction. The "bars" that run vertical around kennel are round conduit. Using this for poultry? need to add hardware cloth around perimeter. Doors are SHORT, I am 5'5" and have to duck. Whacked my head a few times. Stakes to anchor down are included, we are using longer ones for stability. Also, the roof has bracing just covered by tarp cover then. We are putting wire cloth over whole roof under tarp. To ensure raccoon or any other cannot get on roof and rip through tarp roof. For poultry purposes, not sure if I would buy again. It is way sturdier than the standard chicken wire runs but requires modifications. We are wrapping whole thing in hardware cloth and doors too. Latches are functional but a bit tiny. Our outdoor catio comes with a middle platform, top enlarged resting platform and 2 small houses. So that your animals can jump around, bringing them a comfortable living environment. At the same time, the enlarged door allows an adult to enter the cattery. It is convenient for you to interact with pets and clean the cat condos.

The catio serves it's purpose. What I liked - it is very spacious on the inside. I have 3 cats and wanted rooms for the 3 cats. Now this is what one needs to consider when buying - Instructions manual says 1 hour to assemble (WRONG). This is about a 6-8 hour project. 2. While it sems like it will hold up, I bought bracket and braces to reinforce the catio 3. Also the description is off about the length it is not at long as stated, 4. Also I did not put up all the cat shelves inside the catio, I felt it made the catio to congested. 5. I paid about 340$ for this catio, I think this is over priced compared to similar catios - length and height. Overall I would recommended even with all my critiques because it served my purpose. Tough review to write. It was a lot of work to assemble. Many hours. I had to buy extra chicken wire and zip ties. But I think it's great. In the yard, I could have staked it, but on the deck, I'm using landscape bricks at the four corners - my patio table with an umbrella has blown away in high winds. But the roof is easy to remove if I know strong winds are coming. I think it's plenty sturdy, it should last years compared to the cat tents we've gone through.
