First, Wayfair delivered this to me in two days, three days early! Kudos to Wayfair. There are virtually no combo units like this for less than $500 anywhere - more likely to get a nicer stainless bar fridge/freezer you'd spend nearly $2,000. Still, here's what you should know. The freezer has a small pipe up to the cooling area - that's how the cooling area is cooled....via the freezer. As cold air drops, that's why the minimum temperature of the cooling area is around 41 degrees. For me, the freezer was the main reason to buy this and the cooling area was for my mixers and therefore just a bonus. The unit is quiet and the blue light is pleasing. Overall this is a no-brainer for around $250. Update: one tradeoff is you'll likely need to manually defrost at least once a year. We need a large freezer as we have a lot of frozen items and at this point, they really do not fit in the regular fridge. This is a commercial size refrigeratorfreezer and there is so much room! The racks are heavyweight so you can place plenty of things on them. I spoke with Wayfair the day it was delivered and they were amazing. They are going to be sending out a replacement. I will update when I receive my replacement. We are so excited! Delivery service is great as they keep you as to when they are going to arrive. UPDATE- I received my replacements and it is gorgeous! I can't speak to how it maintains cold yet as it just arrived, will update later. Unfortunately this unit is too loud for a home placement,it is way louder than expected.
