This chair is very comfortable and a delight. Assembly really requires prior experience with schematics and understanding basic aspects of hardware. However, as the pics show, the upper/seat section is out of alignment with the lower/base portion; it's pushed to one side. That results in the upper frame knocking against the rear black glide "dog bone" part. I don't understand what would cause this skewing. I kept all fasteners not-tight until everything was assembled. Fortunately the knocking only occurs if I glide far enough forward, which is actually beyond my typical glide length. But I have to take a star away because of this.. Bart. Boulder, CO. Instructions were not the best but it was simple enough that it didn't matter. I did have an issue with the chair but still gave 5 stars because Customer Service was wonderful & resolved my issue promptly & to my satisfaction. This retro sofa is gorgeous. It looks great on the porch of my 150 year old house. It was pretty difficult to assemble, and I had to have my son and his wife do it for me.
