Frame size must be specified at the time of purchase. The frame is not adjustable and can only fit one size or the other. The dimensions of the king bedding need to be 76"w x 80" long. I have limited storage, so appreciate that I can store things underneath the frame (air conditioner during winter, winter clothes during summer, etc.). I attached the frame to a metal headboard, and it looks like the two go together. This is great. Seems structurally stable. Easy to put together. Two complaints. The silver metal bolts are visible on the outside of the posts, so I’m spray painting those to match the frame. The bigger complaint is that the mattress slides. The bottom rails are smooth and flush. there’s no recessed area for the mattress to sit in to keep it in place. A high profile heavy-duty bed frame that will only fit standard king bedding. This frame requires the use of a foundation or box spring.
