Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. OK, first of all let me just say we did have an issue with shipping. The first one arrived and it had a blemish on the top. It had been hit at some point during delivery, so we contacted Wayfair and they were more than happy to send us another table. So we returned that table and another table arrived about five days later and everything was great with it so Wayfair itself is great. FedEx probably needs to be a little more careful. This was extremely easy to put together, huge plus. The package came earlier than expected, so I had to make arrangements for someone to collect it as I was not in town. My one issues was the smell, oh my- this was ROUGH. I’m unsure if it was the chemicals, the packaging, I do not know. But it took about two weeks for the major smell to go away- and that’s with using active charcoal packages, baking soda, vinegar- you name it. The smell is still slightly there when I open the drawers where I continue to keep the active charcoal pouches. Outside of that, I am truly happy with the entry table. It was exactly what I was looking for and the ease of putting it together took less than 20 minutes. It took longer to take it out of the packaging. I had very specific criteria I was looking for in an everyday table. I wanted a pedestal base, an oval or round top with a leaf, cream/off-white with a dark wood top. it either had to match my existing chairs or have chairs without fabric. I also had a budget in mind. I know I'm extremely picky. I have been looking on and off for the right table for almost 4 years. Even after I order the table I texted my husband and said I'm probably going to hate it. I ordered it on a Thursday and it arrived unexpectedly early on Saturday morning and we put it together easily. 2 bolts per foot and 4 bolts for the top. nothing was damaged in shipping and the table is an almost perfect match to the existing pieces in the room. The base is a little more on the white/gray side then cream but in the shade of the table its not noticeable. We will most likely always have the leaf in but the mechanism worked fine and everything fit together well and it feels sturdy.
