We took a road trip from PA to SC last week, and I followed the pre chilling suggestions (set both sections to -4° for a minimum of 3-4 hours before filling) from the reviews.. I adjusted one section to 34° after I filled the refrigerated food while leaving the the frozen food set to -4°. I did add a few freezer blocks to the tops of both sections before we closed the lids. On the trip down we stayed overnight in a hotel halfway to SC.. To my delight our food was in perfect condition when we unpacked it!! The price was better than other roto-molded coolers on the market, but it did not perform much better than my injection molded ice chest and it had some significant drawbacks Pro: -pretty -leak proof -cheaper than yeti, rtic, etc -divider and basket -love the drain Con: -heavy (30 lb empty) -over 3x as much as my old igloo and did not seem any better at holding ice -SHALLOW! At 10 qt more than my other cooler I wasn’t planning on it being so much shorter inside. I went to put in a jug of ice coffee and it was too tall to fit ‍♀️ -trying to copy the mesh netting on the rtic was a cool idea, but the dumb adhesive/velcro did not hold up. Michael. CA. I was holding off on reviewing this one until we had a chance to use it. With big brands out there competing for who can keep things the coldest, I have to say Im actually impressed by how well it worked. Its also a Gods send on my back! The little features like side shelves, internal shelves for making drinks, bottle opener etc are fantastic! I also really loved the ability to split the cooler in half with a divider panel. It allowed me to organize which drinks were kid friendly and which were not. The design is modern and it was very easy to assemble. My only critique is everyone who approached this initially was confused on how to open it (center front there are two indentations near the middle for your fingers to lift the top covers) and kept ripping the front bar off. Love this cooler/refrigerator! I have a larger version that takes up practically all the space in my car, which isn't ideal for camping. This is much more compact, yet still holds plenty.
