I asked if they could tell me the paint color so I could touch up the marks myself, and instead, they offered to send me a bottle of matching paint. Things don’t always arrive perfectly. Access is the other reason I kept it. Fingerprint is fastest for daily use. Keypad is there if someone else needs in. Backup keys for when batteries die, which they will eventually. Set the prints while the door is open and test them a few times before you lock anything important inside. The steel feels like a commercial box, not a thin home safe. I bolted it down. Don’t skip that. A drop safe only helps if it stays put. Practical notes: keep spare batteries nearby, don’t store the emergency keys inside the safe, and give the fingerprint reader a wipe if it starts missing. Although it was packaged well, it somehow came with a small dent in the side (see picture). While this does not affect the cabinet’s purpose in any way, it was a gift for my husband and it just found this disappointing. Other than that, it is very nice overall. Not oversized and comes completely assembled. The inside is done very nicely with an eye towards maximizing the space for rifles, pistols, magazines and ammo. Both keys and code unlock it with ease.
