The Shun kanso BBQ set features the three key knives you'll need to handle grill worthy proteins of all types all in a handsome shun knife roll, perfect for when you take your BBQ show on the road. This gorgeous set includes the shun kanso honesuki, a Japanese style poultry knife, the Shun kanso boning fillet knife and the Shun kanso brisket knife, ideal for trimming and slicing larger cuts of meat, including brisket, ham, roasts and turkey. In kanso, QKA/Shun took away anything that doesn’t matter and kept everything that does: high performance steel, razor sharp edge, perfect balance and precision cutting control. The steel is Japanese aus10 a highly refined, high carbon, vanadium stainless steel that takes a razor sharp edge and holds it longer. Kanso's heritage finish hides scratches and gives kanso a rustic look that just improves with age. The handle is made of a wood called tagayasan or wenge, which is sometimes known in Japan as “iron sword wood.” the handle contouring enables an easy chef's grip. Full tang construction provides strength, balance and easy cutting control. Like all Shun knives, kanso is sharpened to a 16° cutting angle each side to cut cleanly and help preserve food’s freshness and best taste.

High-carbon CR17 stainless steel blade. To boost its sturdiness, the steel contains 0.6-0.75 carbon. This makes it two times as hard as other knives in its class, as they contain about 0.3% carbon. Beautiful pattern: the special waved pattern blade is particularly striking (CR17 stainless steel kitchen knives, not real Damascus). Your investment is fully guaranteed. We offer a lifetime warranty and return policy. Ultra-sharp edge: it features an HRC (Rockwell hardness scale) of 57-58, which makes it among the toughest knives in its class. The thickness of this kitchen knife is 2.5mm. Ergonomically shaped handle: The blade of this chef knife is seamlessly integrated with the soft and comfortable Pakkawood handle, creating a perfect grip. The ergonomic shape strikes the right balance between the handle and the thin blade, ensuring ease of movement.

They’re ok. I feel like for the quality of the cut, the blades wouldn’t rust in water.. Julia. Melbourne, FL. Wed Oct 14 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always thought having a good knife set was a mark of true adulthood, so you can imagine how much I was looking forward to getting this set. I was impressed right away. The knives are beautiful, the blades are sharp, the stand is sleek. It has it all. I haven’t used all six knives yet, but I certainly intend to. I often use the chef’s knife, and larger santoku knife, so I make sure to follow the included care instructions to ensure they’re always in good condition. I took off one star because after a couple of months of use I noticed the chef’s knife had become a bit dull. I don’t expect these knives to be super sharp forever, but I think it lost its edge a little too soon. Either way, I’m quite happy with this set, and would definitely recommend it!. Sherlinh4_9405.
