This cotton rug is lightweight and looks super cute under a round table in our living room. While I would probably take it to a laundromat to wash, I could fit in in my regular machine. I haven't done this yet. It does not have any loose threads and is finished nicely. While it does bunch a bit when the kids/cats play on it, but it flattens right out easily. This rug is an excellent alternative to artificial fabric. Because my little one will be playing on this, I wanted it to be a natural fabric. Without the padding underneath it is a bit firm, but still soft enough to play on. It’s incredibly soft. My only complaint is that it does slide quite a bit, so a grip mat underneath is likely necessary for those with hardwood floors. The color is as pictured. Very happy with the price and quality.. I was a little hesitant reading some reviews of clearly used and dirty rugs arriving, but I needed a rug that was 6x6' (hard to find), washable AND 100% cotton and this was the only one out there! It is more plush than you would think and it is really soft. I clearly did get a new one (not a used/dirty one like some reviews said) and I am happy with it. I see what some reviews mean where they compare it to a blanket - it does have a softer, shag feel to it, but perhaps that can be fixed with a pad. Pretty rug. Very thin though as it’s washable. Very soft to the touch. Liquids pile on it and don’t sink into it so it’s easy to spot clean. Washable but I wouldn’t recommend as it barely fits in a standard washer. Carpet cleaners and vacuums with rollers just about entangle it. I had to get a stick vac withe no rollers.
