Constructed from solid 100% rubberwood, this extendable dinner table is sturdy, durable and will look great while doing it! The uses a simple butterfly mechanism - gently pull on either end of the table to 'open' the sliding mechanism and reveal the extension piece concealed under the top. Lift and unfold the extension piece to create the additional length. Our cross back solid wood dining chairs are a lovely take on classic traditional dining furniture styles. This table was extremely easy to put together. All the holes lined up nicely. The table top has a nice heft to it! The reason for the 4 rating is because there is a ding on the edge of the table that actually gave me a slight splinter. We'll probably put some kind of clear glue to cover the area.
