Not super sturdy, but for a guest room, it’ll be just fine. Tried to get a closeup of the fabric material - there’s an ever so slight glittershimmer effect to it. Love the look of this bed. Took a chance bc there were no reviews. The bed delivered in about 5 days. The packing wasn’t the best, but everything was intact and undamaged inside the box. Quality is fair, not exceptional. Upholstery is only on the outside of the bed, not behind the headboard, footboard or rails. Bed is assembled with bolts that are visible on the footboard which I don’t like. The fabric is linen and on the lighter side, not yellowish or grey. Hammered features are a nice contrast to the conventional upholstered bed design. Bed can be mixed with contemporary furniture or antiquish, like I have. All in all, I’d recommend. First of all it shipped quickly and with no issues. I put it together myself in probably 25 minutes. Assembly was a breeze, no issues at all. The material is not as dense as velvet to me it’s a really nice velour. This is a nice simple basic but elegant velvet platform bed. Instructions are pretty straightforward. They did take me and my husband to put together just with Allen wrench and a drill, which is not really necessary. Just kind of speeds of the process, but it is nice. honestly I would use this more as a guest bedroomor in a guest bedroom so Im not sure about the quality although it does have the wood planks for stability so its firm it doesnt feel like its gonna break or anything like that. It is a good quality bedframe and its nice. It looks pretty elegant. For the price its a good bed but for longevity or something thats more of a statement piece. I dont know about that one and it looks smaller than a queen, but it actually is a queen because my mattress I had was a queen so I dont know not mad about it, but I thought it was gonna be a little bit bigger.
