These lamps exceeded our expectations! They arrived well packaged, and even though I had already cut the box open before taking pictures, everything inside was protected and arrived in perfect condition. Assembly couldn’t have been easier, it took less than 5 minutes to have both lamps completely set up. The shades fit nicely, and the instructions (though hardly needed) were clear and straightforward. The quality is impressive for the price. The bases have a substantial feel, the finish looks even better in person, and the linen shades give off a warm, inviting light. They look much more expensive than they actually are and fit our space perfectly. Overall, this was another great Wayfair purchase. Beautiful terracotta base. A substantial lamp that is full of earthy character. The shade didn't work for me though. Felt too big, and because I have the lamp sitting on a side table in our sunken living room, you could see too much of the inside and the bulb. I realized I needed an empire shade instead of a drum, so I had to spend the extra money to purchase a different shade. But I'm happy with the purchase overall. Note that you can see a "seam" (one on each side) where the potter put the two pieces together I assume. I like it and think it adds to the character, but others may not.. Andrea. The shade seems to mute the light coming from the bulb. The light has a yellowish dull glow not very conducive for reading.
