Perfect! This lamp is attractive and just the right richness in color for a male wardrobe room. The lamp sits atop a chest of drawers, casting the needed additional lighting to see inside the chest and the finish work during the nightly shoe shine ritual. Although I am personally not a fan of the bright-white shade, the oblong shape of the lamp (and the shade) makes it difficult to find a replacement for something with color. DISCUSTING quality control for 1 lamp with a black shade!!!!! It all started with the shades: I received a single shade WITHOUT the base so I called Wayfair. The SECOND lamp never showed but a second SHADE arrived WITHOUT the base AGAIN !!!! but his shade was damaged. Then after yet another call to WAYFAIR to get a complete lamp the base finally arrived but it was damaged and not assembled correctly plus this shipment was shipped WITHOUT a shade even though the packing slip noted a shade had been shipped. To make matters worse when I requested a replacement lamp base to replace the first damaged base when the second base finally arrrived it ALSO HAD THE SAME DAMAGE and poor ASSEMBLY ( lopsided on the pedistal base and incorrecly inserted crystal cube) as the first lamp base!!!!! NOW I have to call WAYFAIR yet again to get this matter settled...and hopefully receive a third base in excellent condition so I can install this $ 700.00+ lamp for my patient client !. Deborah. The box was a little beaten up upon delivery; however, the lamp was packed well and didn't suffer any damage. I'm using the lamp for ambient lighting in one corner of my living room; the piece looks good, is stable/heavy, and does what it needs to do. (I appreciate the fact it came with a bulb.)
