The chair fits my kitchen counter. I like the back on it and that it swivels. It was easy to put together right out of the box. Reason for 4 stars-the seat has the seam at the front, I would think it should be at the back. In order to do so you would have to remove the seat back and drill a new hole. These counter stools are easy to assemble, sturdy, and complement my kitchen as well as adjacent living areas perfectly. I am an 80 senior and assembled my two stools myself. Putting the legs together (first step) was slightly tricky, but every step after went smoothly. The holes for screws are perfectly machined, nicely thought out assembly design. The swivel seats rotate is smooth as can be. In choosing the height for a 36 inch high counter I felt there needed to be something in between the 25 inch and 30 inch stool.
