This is so pretty! I’m doing a kitchen refresh and decided this would look great on the stovetop between the green cabinets with the off white tiles (not yet installed). The whistle is annoyingly loud, so you will hear it no matter where you are. You do have to flip the spout cover up independently of the handle I don’t mind, but you might. We’ve had several wood stove kettles. What we liked about this one is the vents in the lid which allow for more steam to be released. One inconvenient feature is that the knob on the lid is very small. When the kettle is hot, you need to use a glove to lift the lid. It’s difficult to grasp the knob with a bulky fireplace glove.
