Personally I definitely feel this lamp was absolutely overpriced for the quality. It is on the lighter side, though it’s still stable enough/fine, the base could be dented/disfigured if you squeezed hard, and the gold looks somewhat cheap. However, having said that I also overall love the way it looks and I’m super happy it’s mine, the Burgundy color is rich and pretty - feminine and moody. I love this little modern lamp. It adds a pop of fun to my space. When lit, the hue leans more towards orange than red. I like the look of the lamp when it’s on and off. While they are the same design, they are not the same shade of red. This lamp is a bright "candy apple" red. It is not what I would consider "dark red" as the listing states.
