Red Casual Kitchen Island

Give your kitchen an extraordinary makeover by making this Boos Harvest Table the centerpiece of your kitchen. Built using 4″ thick end grain hardwood, it’s as beautiful as it is functional. You can use the Harvest Table as a buffet table or use it as the ultimate meal prep table. With an impressive size of 60″ x 30″, the hardwood end grain wood top provides an extremely strong surface for chopping. Finished with Boos Block Board Cream with Beeswax, this unique blend helps lock in moisture and protects the wood. Continued application of the Boos Oil will keep your island like new. It will rejuvenate the wood and help prevent it from drying and cracking. Choose from a wide selection of base color options to match your style and decor. Two slatted shelves and three wicker baskets give ample space for storage. The elegantly carved apron and legs will give your kitchen or dining room a touch of class and elegance. Designed for longevity, this island is the ultimate place to gather, eat and entertain.

If you are thinking of buying this and are a little nervous don't hesitate. It arrived and each peice was expertly packed, there would be no way of damage. We were able to put together in less than 30 mins. One thing to consider is the weight of the item, it is extremely heavy and multiple people are needed to carry in as well as assist in putting together. Worth every penny and will be apart of my family for generations to come. I purchased the useful grey, I really think would go with any decor.. Maria. Toanawanda, NY. Mon Jun 27 2016

Add rustic charm to any setting with the stylish Maple Gathering Block Island. This 25″ long island features a distressed painted finish that provides an attractive vintage look. It's fashioned in a 4″ thick end-grain top made from Northern Hard Rock Maple, making it rock solid and holds up to any kitchen task. The 25″x24″ includes one wicker basket for storage or kitchen utensils. Elegantly tapered legs offer a stylish appeal and keep the kitchen island stable while you work. The butcher block top is finished with Boos Board Cream, a food-safe application, so you can chop, dice, and cut directly on the surface if desired. Available in various color bases, these Gathering Blocks have a rustic country feel that will fit seamlessly with any decor.

Very classy design, heavy and sturdy with eye-catching detail and impressive proportions. This was a significant purchase for my new home, and it looks like it was made just for my kitchen. But I am not $1,500 worth of happy... I would put my happiness rating at about $900. But I paid over $1,500 and I have some issues with this item. Mostly, the paint and overall finish on the legs and frame it not what I expected. The little bare detail spots are very rough and not sanded smooth so they will snag clothing if you brush up against it. And the wood used for the legs is heavy but also can be dented quite easily (which happened during assembly using a hand tool). But the real kicker for me is the paint job... for this much money it just doesn't seem to be "finished." You can scratch it off with a fingernail. With 3 small dogs in my house this is a potential problem. Add to that, the paint was not sealed in any way- and John Boos SELLS a poly coat product! I guess John Boos wants me to spend another $30.... and apply it myself. Which would have been easier before I assembled it. Now that it's put together, it will be a difficult job. So for a piece that cost almost as much as my new leather sofa I am satisfied enough with it, but not totally happy and excited.. Karen M. Lawrenceville, GA. Sat Apr 26 2025

I love this cabinet. It is made well. The color is a little off but still looks nice. I did think I ordered flat panel. Also before I received delivery the same cabinet was advertised at $400 less than what I paid. I picked this because it was fully assembled.. Anonymous. Sat May 09 2026

Mixed review on this. While the cabinet and hardware seem quite nice, the island top is actually 5 pieces of wood and not solid, which makes it look cheaper. I expected a solid slab and it was impossible to tell from the photos online. As there were no other reviews at the time, I was surprised to find that when it arrived. It’s still a beautiful piece but a little disappointing for the price point.. Anonymous. Wed Nov 01 2023

It’s sturdy and on wheels which is nice. The only thing I didn’t like is that the paint is already cracking and it was just delivered. Also I think it would be nice if the cabinet had a shelf in it but it does have plenty of storage space. Anonymous. Buffalo Ny. Fri Jul 17 2026

I would reccomend this item to anyone thinking of buying it. The only issue when unpacking it is that one of the caster wheels support piece was not attached. I am thrilled with this kitchen island—so thrilled that I’m painting my kitchen that is under renovation to match it. It arrived as promised without a hitch and has all the features I wanted. There is plenty of shelf space and storage for the not so pretty items that will end up behind the closed doors. I’ll add a picture if I am able. I love it! I’d like to give it 6 stars.. Elaine.
