If you prefer a softer light, it is dimmer switch compatible. Partial assembly is required.

The first light fixture arrived smashed, but customer service replaced it in only 4 days. The light looks great in our living room, and we are really happy with it. It looks fresh and modern compared to the old-fashioned ceiling fan that was there. I took off a star because the installation was so difficult. My husband had to drill out the bracket holes so that the screws would fit, and it was really hard to line up the base onto the screws. You may want to consider professional installation. Love it! Very nice looking. Put two into our office, each with 3 led bulbs 100 w equivalents. Flush mount lights can be really annoying to install because there is so little space to align the mounting screws with the holes in the fixture. We solved problem by using longer screws than supplied, and enlarging the holes in the fixture. Since the glass globe covers the screws and nuts and washers, this change in undetectable.. Geoffrey.
