This is a high-quality Japanese joinery bed frame. It relies entirely on amazing wood-on-wood tension rather than metal fasteners, nails, or glue. I like the solid hardwood construction. The corner joints slot together smoothly without forced hammering. Really easy to put the joints together. I ordered the queen size in espresso. I was able to build this by myself in under 2 hours. I just put the Golden Girls on the tv and started building! The socket wrench was a blessing. I have a drill but I didn’t need it. The instructions were easy to follow. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and placed the nonskid pads on the legs before assembly. Makes a big difference. I ordered this bed to go with my headboard (also from Wayfair) and it is a perfect color match! However, there are no holes in the bed in order to connect them. No big deal to me, I'll just zip tie them if I have to. So far there have been no issues with sturdiness. The height description is accurate. I wish there had been a 14 inch height option. The top of my mattress sits at about 28 inches from the ground so I feel like I'm a little too high up, but I will get used to it. Opened box to a beautiful wooded grain pile of pieces. Definitely happy that I chose the walnut. Hardest part to assemble was the actual head board. I was happy to see the middle support sits inside brackets. That will make moving the bed easier with less breakage. Put a ring on it. This is the one you've been waiting for. I've been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for a year or so now. I'd hemmed and hawed for quite some time over which bed frame to throw in this room, nothing quite hit just right. Then, this one popped up. It's simple, timeless, and minimally perfect. It goes great in a room with sloped or low ceilings. It makes a statement, but quietly and modestly. It checks all the boxes and does away with all the unnecessary bells and whistles some beds seem to have. It's lovely with honey oak floors, but truly would fit a variety of different styles. It’s versatile and has a transitional quality to it, making it easy to adapt to any aesthetic. That's a huge deal for anyone who wants to change things up every once in a while. Since it's neutral, it brings unity and cohesion to just about any style. I ordered it on a Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday. It took my husband about a half hour or so to assemble - and most of that was spent unboxing. Before putting it together, I added adhesive felt pads to the bottom legs for easy sliding and protection of wood floors. It's solid and well-engineered. It doesn't make a peep when getting on and off. I wouldn't be wasting my time writing this review if I didn't think so highly of this product. Very nice bedframe. I needed a bed with a shorter headboard to accommodate the window in my bedroom. This bed works great and seems very sturdy. My only complaint is that the pre-drilled holes to attach the brackets on the headboard and footboard aren't nearly large enough so I had to go in and drill them a little wider. NTC Ruby solid wood in the SAND color is a beauty. The color is so fresh and light. Well-made and easy to assemble. It has some very stylish details that make it beautiful. the endings of the headboard. The back legs are tall round and slim and the front legs have a slight angle and are squarer.
