They don't describe the color in the description and when I zoomed in I thought they looked more burnished bronze. In person they are definitely copper like a penny. Consider wearing gloves for assembly, lots of splintery wood. My only suggestion for the seller is they should put an extra of each of the smaller hardware bits just in case they got lost. Our king size Sleep Number bed fits great with room for the head and foot to lift.
