Took about 4 hours to assemble. We didn’t do the rock wall or hanging rings because this beds for our toddler boys and they’re too young for those features yet. It’s super sturdy, made mostly of iron with some wood accents. Slide and rock wall are wood. It’s honestly great quality. We used “Purple” brand memory foam twin mattresses which don’t fit as well as the small futon mattresses in the product photos but they fit, just not a ton of room for tucking in sheets and comforter. Love the look of the bed, and easy to assemble. As long as your kids decide not to hang or climb the frame, you should be ok. The cutoff in the fabric is cool, but unsure how to secure it and have it stay in place without sewing additional ties/loops, or maybe velcro. To be fair, this could be caused by the way we attached the fabric, unsure. But the picture helps indicate that the flap doesn't reach, allowing it to sway. The lights add nice ambiance, but for us, because the bed is flush against the wall covering the outlet, a slim profile adapter that had the plug for the lights facing down would have been preferred. Also, I am unsure if there is a switch for the lights (couldn't find one), forcing you to unplug them each time. We chose to use an old external battery with an on/off button, but a smart plug would solve this issue. We purchased a Nectar children's mattress that fits perfectly. The frame is decent. Some pieces came damaged but the overall structure is nice. The lights work, the pieces all came together correctly and instructions were clear! The only issue with the hardware is that the Hex tools they provide tell you to use, dont fit the holes of the hex screws. The drawers dont sit flush with the unit which bothers my OCD but thats just a me problem lol.
