As a board gamer I wanted a good table that could be a dining table and a gaming table but wasn’t going to cost an arm and a leg from one of the big board game table companies. The Woodridge Shuffleboard Table has a playfield made of hardwood solid butcher block that is thick and one foot less than the overall length of the shuffleboard in question. When comparing manufacturers, make sure to look for a thick playfield, as the extra depth looks better in the cradle and feels better on the hand when setting a puck. The table is very nice and well constructed, however, be mindful of the weight (260 lbs) and the length (12 ft) as it needs to get down into basements. Comes with a high-quality solid wood scratch-resistant playfield and pre-assembled box-style wood veneer legs with a faux concrete finish. Honestly, I was nervous when we ordered this. It was our first ever order with Wayfair and it was such a large item and very heavy. We understood the complexity of the order, delivery and assembly but we gave it a shot. Everything worked out great. This products packaging was exceptional! Basically triple layered carboard with hard fiberboard reinforcements at every point, very solid construction. Be prepared for a couple trips to recycling. The delivery team placed it exactly where we wanted it in our house, I recommend paying for that service as this unit weighs about 230 lbs. PLUS the 2nd box with the legs. . We started assembly with it upside down on aluminum saw horses and after assembling the legs realized we could flip the table over and install the legs from the underside much easier than installing them when it was up side down. If you install the base legs when it is upside down, you just added another 140 lbs. +/- to lift, to then flip it over! Use a couple pieces of 2x4, lift the leg onto them, then a couple shims to hold the leg up to the bottom of the table then insert the screws. Easy peasy! Tools: Razor blade to cut everything open and a 12mm socket and ratchet x 2 so the wife could help. :) Be sure to clean the surface, apply silicone and wipe dry then add the "sand". The unit does come with a small jar of sand but I would recommend ordering a larger bottle to have on hand. Great product, very happy thus far and it looks great in our newly remodeled game room.. This table in cherry walnut does not look like the photos, it is much more orange than cherry. It also does NOT come with any game pieces. I am using my pieces from another chess set. I absolutely love this diningpool table! It’s perfect for family gatherings—we enjoy dinner together, then simply switch to playing pool and other games. It’s exactly what I wanted without needing a separate game room. Assembly was much easier than I expected. I’m 58 years old and put almost the entire table together myself. The only part I needed help with was lifting the heavy tabletop, which takes 2–3 people. Wayfair refunded my assembly service after the installer left, and I’m so glad I did it myself. Truly fantastic table - perfect for the price. Putting it together isn't as easy as other boxed furniture - but it's also solid wood, so that's the trade-off. You probably want a power drill to make construction easier/faster (using just a screwdriver is some hard work, but totally feasible!). Very impressed. I was definitely skeptical trying a non-slate pool table but I’m honestly impressed. Felt is great. Table rolls very true. Easy to put together. Definitely need 3-4 people to flip it over so you don’t damage legs. Bumpers are good but not as responsive as a 4,000 table. However, this might be one of the absolute best 3 in 1 tables out there for the price. Ps I never write reviews but wanted to share my experience with others for this table.
