Marble is prized for its enduring style that withstands heat and the elements, a reason why it has been historically used for everything from architecture to art. The pieces in the Le Creuset marble collection are inspired by this timeless appeal and patterned with a delicate gray-blue veined marble appliqué on a classic white backdrop. Evocative of the celebrated stone of Carrara, Italy, the appliqué lends an artisanal touch that ensures every piece is a culinary work of art. The marble collection brings a classic, modern, and luxurious elegance to every kitchen and table.

I purchased the 5 qt size. It is very large, comfortably holds 8 boneless chicken thighs for braising flat against the bottom surface. Neither the electric heating element on my glass cooktop stove nor my PIC Inversion Cooktop are able to heat the outer edge of this pan because of its very large diameter. If using electric or PIC Inversion Cooktop, perhaps consider purchasing the 3.5 quart or smaller for best heat distribution while cooking. Clean up was easy in warm soapy water. Lid is crazy heavy... moreso than the pan itself. Again, I bought the BIG DADDY 5 qt. sized one! Beautiful. Timeless. Future family heirloom.. Ilene. Bellingham, WA. Thu Feb 25 2021

This was super duper tiny. Guess I missed the fine print. Solid pot just way too small.. Terry. US. Sun Oct 11 2026

Terrine dishes are traditionally used to compact a forcemeat mixture like pate (the resulting form is also referred to as a terrine). Some terrines include a weighted press that molds the mixture from all sides. As the meat cooks, the fat within it begins to set, helping the terrine hold its form. The enameled cast-iron pate terrine makes a stylish serving pan for meatloaf, fresh bread, pound cake, or homemade custard — and its temperature retention properties allow the dish to remain hot or cold at the table until the food is ready to serve.
