We LOVE this rug so, so much. It's so soft, laid out so beautifully on day 1, and the pattern / colors are exactly as pictured. We have cats, so we've run into quite a few lifted loops in the weave due to kitty claws stretching, playing, and just existing on this rug, but it's solved so easily with a pair of scissors. You can trim any loops that lift and it looks good as new. I purchased the 10' x 14' size in Ivory/Beige with the Wayfair 1/3" plush rug pad, and it is undeniably luxurious. Our king bed looks and feels great width-wise on the shorter 10' dimension of the rug, but I definitely wouldn't suggest going any smaller than that for a king. Really beautiful rug that's soft on the feet. It does not have a stiff backing so it can bunch a little if there's no nonslip pad underneath. I just got it and have not seen the shedding others talked about, but it is interesting in that from the long side, you can clearly see cream and tan stripes, but from the short side, it looks the same.. The pattern is modern and muted, and not purposefully "antique" which lends to my pro tip: even if you buy cheap stuff, buy things made of natural materials, not intentionally styled as aged, and buy what you love. Your home will look effortlessly curated and classy. As for the negative reviews... the rug wasn't yellow as some other folks reported, but boy is she a shedder at first. But that's just what you should expect with a brand new wool rug. Do a few extracurricular rounds of excessive vacuuming, and you'll get drastically less daily shedding. Unfortunately the only real con I've run into is that it's taken a long time to fully smooth out, even being weighted down on raised areas. I'd definitely suggest this rug for people with cats with penchants for stretching their little greasy mitts on anything that feels remotely textured - I really wanted a wool rug but without loops, or as close to no loops as possible. Shockingly hard to find! I think the search term is "cut pile" rug, which this one gets pretty close to. Any darker portion of the pattern is looped, while all lighter parts of this pattern are cut.
