This is a hand tufted wool area rug with a multicolored contemporary swirl design. Hand tufted means wool yarn is punched through a backing by hand with a tufting tool, then secured with a latex backing, which gives a dense, even pile at a lower price than hand knotted. The wool pile is about 1/2 inch. Sizes in this listing: 4' x 6', 5' x 8', 7'9" x 9'9", 8'9" x 11'9", 9'6" x 13'6", 12' x 15', and 4', 6' and 7'9" rounds. The circular swirl pattern reads well from above, so it works as a focal point in a living room, under a round dining table, or in a kids' room. Made in India. Care: vacuum regularly without a beater bar, blot spills right away, and use a rug pad. Some shedding is normal in the first weeks of a new wool rug.

I really like that this rug is made from natural materials; 80% wool and 20% cotton. This gives it a nice, luxurious feel. The rug is made with a sturdy backing and the craftsmanship is very good. The size and yellow color are exactly as advertised. Shipping was quick and the packaging protected the rug. I'm already thinking of ordering other Safavieh brand rugs from Wayfair.. Russell. A stunning foundation for your décor, this abstract rug faithfully recreates the look of a beautiful sunset. Its generously thick pile is handmade from a luxurious blend of fine New Zealand wool and silky Luxcelle fibers for premier comfort and lasting style. Presented in rich shades of red, golden yellow, orange, pink, purple, and blue.

The rich colours in this rug are just as gorgeous in person as the website photos imply but it is darker than expected. We are very happy with the hand-feel of the rug to touch, its softness underfoot, and how easily it unwrapped and lay flat. It had a few elevated warped areas when we first laid it out but we read to re-roll it opposite to how it arrived and leave it for a day and that helped. Then we unrolled it and allowed the fibers to naturally relax and two days later the warp is nearly gone so we expect in another day or two it will be perfectly flat. The quality is luxurious and my husband and I are very happy with the rug's impact in the room.. Elaine. Comox, BC. Mon Jul 08 2024
