The item is very heavy. It is compressed laminated wood. It took about an hour to put it together. The most challenging part was adjusting the hinges on the doors. Quality construction and well built. The drawers are actually drop down doors and there is only 3 on the shorter version that I purchased not 4 as stated in description. I’m actually liking the drop down doors better than drawers as it maximizing space inside a small compartment and the door hinges and soft close hardware are quality upgrades. Fully assembled was exactly that … open the box and hang the unit. Well packaged with plenty of protection from the rigors of shipping … and they got it out for delivery in very short order. I love this entertainment center. It looks great in my space even though I still have a long way to decorate. I love how it is adjustable so I could somewhat personalize the set up. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review is that the 3 compartment piece on top isnt secure at all and could easily slide around.
