These were cheap, surprisingly sturdy, and extremely easy to assemble... my 12 year old built the 2nd one by herself. Only 2 things that I didn't like was that they didn't provide proper plugs for all the screw holes (just little stickers that cover them) and that it didnt come with some type of footing to prevent it feom scuffingnor scratching floors. Assembly- The assembly directions for this piece are excellent. So often the instruction included with furniture pieces are illegible pictographs but these instructions are detailed, easy to follow, and include words and detailed illustrations. To compliment these detailed instructions the hardware also comes with a really nice ratchet, screwdriver, and other tools to make the assembly easy. The top piece can be installed on either the right or left side so if you are using this as a nightstand against a wall it will work on either side of the bed. This piece has nice simple modern lines. The construction seems sturdy. The only downside seems to be that the drawer hardware could be better and the drawer stopper doesn’t seem to catch the drawer, so be careful pulling them out because the entire drawer may come out. If you wanted to use this piece as just a low bedside table, you could leave the top bookshelf portion off of it. Yes, I read the measurements, but this still looks larger in the online photos/description. Easy to put together, maybe took 20 minutes. Had to use a small level to make sure the shelves were level. The whole thing leans a bit toward the front. I would suggest using museum tack to keep any decorative objects on the shelves. The welds aren't perfect, kinda rough.
