These are nice storage cabinets. It took about 8 hours to assemble two units. We put 2 of these cabinets in a nook in a bedroom. They fit perfectly Instructions were clear and helpful. The shelves are stationery but will hold many things. We like the added glass doors at the top, which make it a little nicer in appearance. I gave 4 stars because 1 of the tall doors came with only 2 holes bored for the hinges. So we had to wait for it to be replaced before we could finish. Wayfair is very fast to respond to damage or parts issue and they worked with the manufacturer to get the door replaced in just a few days! It did take 2 people to place the top of the unit onto the bottom half safely. This is a very nice piece and went together very well. Assembly is required, but the steps are easy to understand.

I wanted a shelving unit for my old VHS collection that had a unique appearance and wasn't just a basic rectangle. The shelf sizing was the perfect fit and it looks great fully assembled. The assembly is very time consuming and exhausting, which is to be expected with any furniture product that ships. I highly recommend using an electric screwdriver for time and to protect your hands. I did the whole thing myself in about 3.5 hours and my hands took a week to heal from using a regular screwdriver. If you're not into labor-intensive assembly, then you'll need help from someone you know or a professional. If you're not strong, balanced, or coordinated, then you will 100% need someone to help you during the step to lift the top into place over the bottom half. It's heavy. I did it myself, which was risky and thought for sure I was making a mistake it until it rather-quickly slid over the connector nubs. Moving the bookcase into place is also best with help. I dragged mine on smooth flooring and, because of the weight, some of the rubber protection left streaks that were tough to wash off. You'll also want to be sure the surface you're building on is clean. The surface of the wood will scratch and be noticeable on the black boards. I didn't do a great job vacuuming and wiping the area down before starting. My fault. Anyway, I love the end result. The only things that may be questionable for some buyers are the stickers that hide the screw heads and the little plastic brackets that secure the backing. Firstly, the stickers will begin to peel if you get any fingerprint residue on them before applying or if your home is too humid. They do give you extras if you make a few mistakes. I didn't use the plastic brackets for the backing though. You have to drill them into the wood, making your own holes. I didn't want to risk damaging the product. I'm sure they have a good purpose but I left them off. The product does include anti-tipping hardware. If you have kids and/or pets, you may want to secure it to the wall. As for the ordering process, the shipping to delivery timeframe is a mild rollercoaster. They are honest about keeping you updated, which is a lot. Sometimes too much. You have to watch the updates because my delivery was delayed by Fed Ex and their own updates often make zero sense. I was exhausted just from having to be available at changing times. Not on Wayfair, just the delivery process. Be sure to carefully inspect every single part for damage or signs of a returned product, and that you received everything listed in the manual BEFORE you begin. I feel like you can’t get any better for the price! To me, it looks high quality but it’s just particle board. The door hardware is really cheap plastic so I’ll probably replace those. The door hinges are adjustable but we couldn’t really decrease the spaces you can see between the doors, maybe it’s an us problem though. I would have liked soft close cabinets but again overall for the price I am really very happy and impressed. Really amazing little media cabinet. Instructions were easy to follow and assembly was very simple. The hardware was sorted in resealable bags which makes the assembly process much easier and while the included screwdriver was a nice addition, I would recommend using a full size one as the little one can really cramp up a hand. I was a little bit intimidated in how I would connect the doors, though I found just laying it on its back with the doors the hinges line up perfectly. Was also a little concerned that rough particle board was used, but with the overall design of the cabinet and its general function I don't think it's something to have much worry over at all as the board construction seems sturdy enough as it is. Finally, while not a negative factor at all, I thought this was going to end up being an espresso or dark brown, but turns out its much darker, which is what I was preferring anyways.. Nathan.
