We are thrilled with our two twin bunk beds! Our bunk room is small, but we needed to be able to comfortably fit our 3 kids with an option for visitors. My requirements a small footprint, ladders that could be on either side or an end, solid wood and a modern look. This bed came with two boxes that arrived on separate dates. I was excited about it at first, but have been feeling a bit, overwhelmed with the idea of having to build it now. I am updating my review after building the bed. It took two men to build 3 12 hours. The instructions on where to place the ladder could’ve been made more clear. The wood is very solid nice smooth finish the white oak is nice. I don’t think that this bed would show well. Beautiful! I did pay for assembly and one person came and assembled it by himself but it took a couple hours and I had to help lift the top bunk up. It’s pretty sturdy. Very nice piece for the price. Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!.
