Pairing old and new items together gives a space a highly polished, designer-curated look. The fixture arrived incredibly fast and was packaged securely to preserve its pristine condition. Functionally, this sconce solved a major structural dilemma for me. I needed a light fixture with a substantial backplate big enough to completely cover a protruding framing electrical box on my wall. I purchased multiple other sconces, but none had a large enough mounting canopy to hide the electrical work until I found this one. The electrician installed it extremely quickly with zero complications. The sizing is completely true to the online specifications, measuring exactly 12 inches, with the beautiful, soft scalloped glass center section coming in at 5 1/2 inches wide. It features a good, substantial weight that feels solid and high quality without being overly heavy. The finish is a gorgeous, soft brushed brass. I mounted it next to a raw, unlacquered brass pendant light; while the two brass styles feature slightly different undertones, they complement each other beautifully for a curated, mix-and-match look. To ground the space, I paired the sconces with a set of the Kalalou 65" Tall Black Metal Wall Shelves (also from Wayfair). The contrast of the delicate, soft vintage scalloped detail from the light fixture against the stark, dark metal of the shelves looks stunning. I also styled the sconce alongside a thrifted library armoire for a traditional touch to see which one I preferred.
