The rug was exactly what I needed in terms of size, color, washability, pile height and backing and I hesitated to spend the $150 for a polyester washable rug. I went back to the site again and again to see if the rug went on sale but it didn't, so I finally ordered it anyway! The color is not red! It's plum! When I received this red area rug to my surprise it was flecked with silver strands. I thought maybe I received the incorrect item. However, sure enough when I went back to review the item you can see them. I don’t know how I missed it because if I’d payed attention I would not have ordered this item. I was quite disappointed, but it’s not worth the hassle to return it. I was excited to purchase it as I was looking for a red area rug and really liked the shape. The color is bright, and while the padding is quite shallow, it’s fluffy. Minus the silver flecks it would be a beautiful addition to your decor. I would strongly suggest this fact be included in the product description.
