We bought this for our 13-year-old chinchilla. She's had other cages but this one was, by far, the easiest to put together. The instructions were clear and all of the parts were labeled, which was extremely helpful. The only challenge was putting the platforms in the cage. It's easier if you bend the bars just a little bit to get the platform where you want it and then bend them back in place. There's one platform with a hole for her to go through, but she bypasses that and just jumps up from the ramps. Adding the ramps took the longest; putting the rest together took maybe 20 minutes tops. The ramps connect to the platforms which is amazing. She had a cage before where they did not connect and she would push them down. The ramps are covered and she goes up and down them with no problem. We ended up not using the hammock for safety reasons. I particularly like that there are doors on the front and the side. Excellent product. Definitely recommend.. Beth. Pittsburgh, PA. The metal wire mesh top and a visible front door provide good ventilation, allow for easy observation, and facilitate catching pets. This cage is suitable for a variety of small animals including ferrets, chinchillas, rats, squirrels, and sugar gliders, and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. Great cage for my two male rats (dont get along), so live separately. I was able to put the bottom grate on top to cut access. Love this! Debated about the purchase for a while, but finally went for it, and my cats are in love. Its sturdy and assembly instructions are straight forward. Plenty of room for both of my large cats (about 12-14 lbs each). I added some finer screening around it to keep bugs out (just stapled it to the frame) and created a wood frame that fits inside my window so it can be secured without attaching it to the exterior of my house. Everything lined up well and the instructions were clear, so assembly wasn’t a hassle at all. I bought the beds separately, but they fit perfectly inside the crates and make them extra cozy. This thing is a beast. The company that makes it usually sells it for over $1000. This is the place to buy. The instructions weren't crystal clear but we got the hang of it. There were a couple of random springs with no instructions as to what to do with them. AI came in handy. There was one piece of metal that was slightly bent and prevented the top grate from sliding in but it was easily remedied with a mallet. It is precisely 30dx40w without the skirt. I'm not impressed with the wooden dowels and am ordering other types of perches to install. For this price those tiny little side issues were totally worth it.
