This is likely not what many people are using this skate for, but were doing it to help socialize our wonderful new dog with my two cats, one of them is not very dog savvy. When we tried to do this with a normal baby gate, she kept trying to launch herself over it so of course, he wanted to chase her. This was the most affordable option that I could find for something floor to ceiling that would allow them to become more familiar without the potential danger that an unexpected interaction could have caused. Very sturdy and very easy to put together! It’s also very heavy, so you won’t be moving it around easily after it’s assembled, but it is easy to take it apart if you want to move it. I love that it comes with 2 gates (plus 14 panels)! We got the pen that is 40 inches tall because our new rabbit was jumping out of our old 30-inch pen. My only complaint is that each gate has 2 latches so the gates are impossible to open with one hand, so I tied a string to the latches (there is a metal loop on top of each latch) so that I just have to pull up the string with one hand to open both latches on one gate at the same time..
