The shades are heavier, and larger, than most of this styles the lamp base has nice detailing. I like the leaves. We placed two lamps on a niche above our wet bar. Be aware, the green yellow has an extremely yellow light. I had warm white bulbs 2700 kelvin and it looked like a yellow bug light. I changed them to bright white 3000 kelvin and it helped, substantially. This version of Tiffany Studio's most beloved stained glass dragonfly design; is modeled after the original hanging head dragonfly. Diving dragonflies with glowing Scarlet jeweled eyes and delicate metal filigree wings circle over hand cut and copper foiled pieces of Amber; Pond Green and Scarlet art glass and glistening jewels of Amber; Emerald and Scarlet that represent sunset reflections on rippling water. The table lamp base is finished in a warm hand applied Mahogany Bronze.

These are solid, heavy lamps. The base is wide enough to support the shade---no chance of them tipping over (I was worried about that!). LOVELY design. Beautiful glow with low wattage bulb on one side, bright enough to read with a bigger wattage in the other one. Packaging was OVER THE TOP. My only complaint is that I was under the impression (and this is one of the reasons I purchased these lamps), that they were made in USA...only to find a "made in China" sticker on the bottom of the lamp :( :(.
