I start my grad program soon and i had already envisioned what i was looking for in a desk and how i wanted it to look like. This option was 1000 perfect for the corner of my room. It was fairly simple to assemble. As long as you go step by step with the instructions, it will be smooth. I did not purchase this to use as a desk. I needed a corner vanity and did not want to spend a lot of money. This was perfect for the budget and worked out great! The directions were very straightforward and easy to follow with the exception of the final step of placing the top shelving to the bottom base. The two sections in the corner as I show in the picture want to separate. This requires two people. I assembled this by myself and it took several hours. It is a great piece of furniture for a gaming desk or to use as a vanity. The light strip is a straight continuous wire and does not have an L shape to allow for the corner and sticks out. I’m giving this desk 4 stars because, while it is very spacious and offers plenty of room to work, I ran into several issues. I consider myself quite handy and enjoy putting furniture together, but the instructions were not the best. Additionally, one of the wooden planks arrived damaged. To make it fit my son’s bedroom layout, I had to reverse the configuration even though the desk isn’t designed to be reversible. Because of this, I had to place the angled plank upside down and couldn’t screw it into the metal frame however, this allowed the damaged part to face downward so it isnt noticeables. I was able to properly screw in the rectangular plank. While the metal frame is very sturdy and the desk provides a great amount of workspace, another downside is that fingerprints show up very easily on the wood. This is THE desk I've been looking for!!! A corner desk that is L-Shaped that you sit into the corner of. And the fact it raises up to stand and has the risers built in... chefs kiss!!!
