We purchased the blue bunks. The color is beautiful for our grandsons big boy room. My husband assembled the beds in 3- 3 12 hours. The parts were labeled and ready to go. Our 2 and 4 year old girls love this bunk bed. It's low enough on the top where they're not scared. There's not much room to sit up on the bottom but that's expected. Looks just like the picture online once assembled, ended up being the perfect size and height for my son’s bedroom and for him to enjoy for years to come, feels sturdy, good quality material. Assembly company was pretty good the first person wasn’t quite able to complete the assembly, I called and someone came two days later and finished it up, was fine since we are still in the process of moving our things. This bunkbed is really nice looking and solid and a great bargain. The bed gets 5 stars. HOWEVER, assembly was an atrocious process and would earn negative stars. None of the parts were labeled. Each piece had multiple patterns of holes on several sides and trying to line them up facing the proper way was a process. The instructions are almost nonexistent- just very small pictures with confusing arrows everywhere. Once everything was lined up appropriately it really wasn’t hard to put together but labels and written instructions would make a huge difference. I really like the features of the bunkbed and the size fits our space perfectly. The shelves are nice and the LED strips are cool for the bottom bunk. However, some flaws - The product is advertised as real wood, but the only real wood is the 4-post frame and bed slats. The sides and shelving are particleboard and thus are cheaper material. - Because it’s not 100 real wood I think it’s overpriced, but in the end would probably buy it again because of the shelving feature and the size fit our space perfectly. - LED strips only extend two sides of the frame and you can only control them with an app on your phone! (No remote!!) - The bottom drawer is very shallow and barely holds anything, maybe a couple of books. It also isn’t on a track so it slides all over the place. We ended up not using it. - The shelves are shallow and hold small fidget toys and water bottles. My 10 year old has the top bunk and my 2 year old has the bottom.. while it is a beautiful bed, I will say that when my 10 year old at 110 pounds moves around you can definitely feel movement and wobbling from below, but there is a steel bar that runs underneath the top bunk that reassures me that it is secure. It took us a about 3 hours to build, just make sure that the headboard and footboard are in the right facing position bc we had to redo ours. I also will note that the headboard and footboard slats dont fit in snuggly and are wobbly. Pine wood is a softer wood and I am already aware of some dings and dents but am still happy that this is not an MDF product so should hope last still for some years. Overall, still a better price point than big box stores and the value is there for us and our family. Would recommend knowing that its not perfect but functional.. Kerisah. Matthews, NC. Beautiful! I did pay for assembly and one person came and assembled it by himself but it took a couple hours and I had to help lift the top bunk up. It’s pretty sturdy. Very nice piece for the price. It was SUPER easy to put together. It had the same screws basically for everything, so it was hard to mess up. It does come in a lot of pieces, however, the slats will come in the smaller box that gets delivered which is nice. It took me about 1.5 hours with help. The tracking of the shipment was also super convenient and accurate. I was thrown off with the staircase handrail, it’s not very kid friendly to hold onto because it’s low. It does squeak a little bit when my girls climb the stairs, and can sway easy. That’s the only reason I took a star away. Otherwise it is perfect for my 2 and 3 year old to share!. Katie.
