I probably wouldn't have bought something like this from Wayfair normally, but I lumped them in with other basement-related items I was getting and I'm glad I did! I had spent some time researching lights like this and a lot of them were either way more expensive and/or smaller, per unit, but these are a decent size, which makes for a cooler effect when they're all connected up together. Speaking of "effect", these lights are able to put on a show with a variety of patterns, some of which are selectable via the remote, but others for which you'll need the app, which is easy enough to setup and use. The music sync feature worked just OK, though I only tested it with a small speaker--maybe it'll work better with a more robust sound system in play. All-in-all, a solid product for the little project I was looking to do (you can see we have a nice little hallway in the basement for these to light up and have the kids run through). Note: I actually bought two sets of these and was able to get almost all of them connected, as you can see in the picture (I obviously hadn't mounted them yet), though there seems to be a limit to how *long* of a linkage you can create. If you look at the picture, any units I added on to the end would fail to light up, though that same unit would work if I connected it to the side of one of the lights already in the chain. I didn't spend a lot of time figuring out exactly what the limits are, but there seems to be something. Slim, useful lights for dark spots These motion sensor lights are very handy. They are thin, simple looking, and the black finish makes them feel cleaner than a basic night light. The warm white glow is soft but still bright enough for stairs, hallways, closets, or a bedroom at night. I use these on a staircase that has a turn and sometimes gets dark at the turned stairway. They have remained charged for a month and always come on and are triggered from a good distance. I like that they are rechargeable and magnetic, so they can be removed easily when they need charging. The motion sensor works well, and the light looks smooth without harsh dots. Excellent. Drill two holes, insert wall anchor and attach the small plate and screws that came with it. The light slides onto the provided plate. I love that it’s ez to assemble, there are 3 light tones: yellow (warm light), yellow/white (in between warm and cool tone), and blue/white light. Also, you can adjust the intensity from a low level for mood lighting, to a bright level. You can also adjust the angle of the arms that have the shining light. These are sleek looking except the round base is a bit big. See photos that are taken in the day but I have honeycomb blinds and translucent white drapes, so the room is dim but not dark. I'm so happy with this three color magnetic light! I'm using it for my full length mirror on the back of my door. I like to put my makeup on but need more light in that area. The peel and stick option is so handy since I am hanging the light on the back of a door. The magnet is really strong and adjust easily. I just push the light down to open my door fully.
