I wanted a wide seated chair with a firm cushion as I spend a lot of time in it, I did want some sort of back support as I like to sit up straight. I understand what people are saying when they say there is 'no support'. I have to sit all the way back (I'm 5'4") to receive the back support. I bought a footrest and it seems to be helping with how close I have to sit to the desk to work (also changed out the wheels). This is a spacious chair! If you need the room, this is a great choice. This chair is SO comfortable! The Material is an amazing quality, and is such a smooth soft faux leather. The padding and cushioning of the chair is just right for sitting many hours at a time comfortably. My favorite feature is the width of the chair seat. I like to sit with my legs crossed and there is plenty of room for this. The chair rolls and turns very smooth. The electric recline is a really nice touch if you need to kick your feet and and relax for a bit. I do wish the foot rest would raise on its own, but in order to pull the foot rest up, you also have to recline that back, so that is the only thing I would change about this chairs design. The chair has a battery pack so you do not need to keep it plugged in to use the electronic recline feature. This is an attractive, comfortable and very versatile office chair. It's height is adjustable. The back's angle of incline can be changed and locked in place to suit users' needs. The footrest slides out for use or flips and slides back under for storage when not needed. It wheels from place to place easily. I'd like it even more if the armrests could be folded down when not needed, but overall all that's minor. I love this chair! The sale price was fantastic too. The chair was not difficult to assemble; it just took time and attention to detail and the written directions and their diagrams. One thing customers need to know however...parts J and Q are NOT in a hardware bag or package, and they are NOT missing. They are bolts screwed into the bottom of the chair's seat and the bottom of the foot rest. They're housed there near where they'll be used during assembling. These bolts need to be taken out of their "hiding in plain sight" places to use. A note about where to find them should be added to the assembling directions.
